What is a Double Wall Corrugated Box?
Regular boxes aren’t always appropriate for fragile and expensive items, or when high volumes are to be shipped, which is why double-wall corrugated boxes would be used. Double wall is actually two layers of wavy fluting bonded together in the middle, between three flat linerboard sheets, versus one layer of fluting between two flat sheets for a standard single-wall box. This construction offers an extra layer of protection, meaning that your box receives ‘one more dimension to help it breathe’, and will not be knocked during transport.
